New Wimbledon King

He did it! Rafael Nadal finally bagged the title of Wimbledon 2008 men’s singles over the 5-year in a row champion Roger Federer. It was indeed a great challenge and a remarkable match for both pro-tennis players. Federer was up for his 6th Wimbledon title and Nadal’s first. Despite the delay due to rainfall, viewers thought the excitement and energy level of both players would have been washed away but their zest for the crown is definitely undeniable.
Nadal won on the first 2-sets of the game at 6-4, 6-4 while Federer recovered on the following 2-sets at 7-6, 7-6. However, the last set was dominated by the French Open King at 9-7.
The game was definitely the best match I have seen so far. Yet, it is still not over for the two for a face-off. Who knows who will bag the crown next year? Cheers to all Tennis Fans out there!
